OGWA regional training sessions update

May 12, 2021  By Ground Water Canada

The Ontario Ground Water Association is re-organizing regional training sessions as virtual and a combination of virtual and in-person sessions when restrictions are lifted, in accordance with the province’s health advisory board restrictions on gatherings.

On March 22, the OGWA held a successful first regional training day in Walkerton with a combination of in-class and virtual participants. The association had announced planned more training dates in several regions:

  • Perth
  • Thunder Bay
  • Springfield
  • Lindsay – May 21 (virtual and potentially in-person, subject to COVID restrictions)
  • Alliston

These sessions are being re-organized as virtual (and also as in-person when allowed by Ontario’s health advisory board restrictions on gatherings currently in place until May 20). Many sessions have been affected by COVID-19. Please check the OGWA website regularly for any updates.

Members receive first priority for registration in in-person sessions. Non-members also may register.

The OGWA advises that if you registered for in-person/virtual training that becomes available virtually only, rest assured you will be refunded the difference in fees. The association also advises that course offerings are subject to the province’s health advisory board, which may change gathering restrictions at any time. It notes, “If we are unable to comply with the regulations and present the course, we will host the same event at the same location as soon as possible at a later date.”
